Why Does a Brow Tattoo Appointment Take Four Hours?
When someone hears that a new brow appointment can take approximately four hours, they often wonder what happens during all that time.
At Vancouver Brow Bar, located inside Fineline Collective in Burnaby, every appointment is intentionally detailed and unrushed. I book only one new client per day so I can give each client my complete attention and create brows that are customized to their face.
Here is a look inside a typical appointment.

10:00–11:00 AM: Consultation and Brow Analysis
We begin with a comprehensive consultation while you settle in with a cup of Tropical Garden tea from Paris.
During this time, we discuss your ideal brow style, daily routine, skin type and long-term goals. I also assess your facial features, natural hair growth, existing brow tattoo and overall symmetry.
Together, we decide whether nano brows, ombré powder brows or a combination technique would be most suitable for you. My goal is to recommend the technique that will look natural while healing well for your skin and lifestyle.

11:00 AM–12:00 PM: Custom Preparation
Next, I prepare the treatment area, set up my single-use needle cartridge and create a custom pigment blend.
Brow colour is never one-size-fits-all. I consider your natural brow hair, skin undertone, existing pigment and desired result when selecting and mixing your colour.
With a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science from UBC and more than nine years of experience as a brow artist, I bring both an artistic and detail-oriented approach to every appointment.

12:00–1:00 PM: Measuring, Mapping and Drawing
This is one of the most important parts of the appointment.
I carefully measure and map the brows before drawing the complete shape by hand. We refine the thickness, arch, fronts and tails until the design feels balanced and suits your natural features.
You will have the opportunity to review the shape before tattooing begins. Nothing is started until we are both comfortable with the final design.

1:00–2:00 PM: The Tattooing Process
Once the design and colour are approved, the tattooing begins.
Depending on the technique selected, I may create fine nano hairstrokes, soft ombré shading or a combination of both. Each section is built gradually, allowing me to adjust the density and details as I work.
The goal is not to make your brows look “done.” It is to create a natural result that complements your face and makes your everyday routine easier.

2:00–2:15 PM: Final Reveal and Aftercare
At the end of the appointment, I make any final refinements, review your aftercare instructions and take photos of your new brows.
Fresh brows will appear darker and more defined at first, but they will soften as they heal. A touch-up appointment may also be recommended once the skin has fully healed.

A Personalized Experience from Beginning to End
Beautiful brow work takes time. The consultation, colour selection, mapping and tattooing are all equally important to the final result.
By booking only one new client per day, I can provide a calm, personalized experience without rushing any part of the process.
If you are considering natural nano brows, ombré powder brows or combination brows in Burnaby or the Greater Vancouver area, I would love to welcome you to Fineline Collective.
